After months of anticipation since the news broke of the making of this album, Muse finally released their 5th studio album, The Resistance. Mixing rock, electronic, and this time around accompanied by strings, The Resistance sounded like Vivaldi jamming with Beethoven and Mozart.
The first track from the album, The Uprising can be an anthem for a revolution. The beating could bring down walls of oppression and reminded me of the movie, V for Vendetta.
Another song I liked in the album is the third track, Undisclosed Desires (which if I imagine Matt is singing it, my knees grow weak. :p). According to the band, the melody sounds like a Timbaland song like a rock-RnB song.
I Belong to You is another song worth citing because of the piano piece that Matt plays in the song (which is wickkkkedd). And I think there is a part there that Matt sings Italian. Just thinking about Matt singing Italian breaks my heart. :p
You could also try the Guiding Light which I still trying to feel out. United States of Eurasia can be an anthem of a new nation that will be born out of the Uprising.
There is also the trilogy Exogenesis Symphony which are rock-string instrumental songs.
It's not really the type of songs I was expecting from the album (hearing about it will be accompanied by an orchestra and all) but the sounds' all Muse! It's a modern twist to the classical that literally rocks! And classical dudes never looked good like Matt, Chris and Dominic do.

Len spends most of her time ruminating on her writings that never made it to paper; keeps sane by reading books and listening to music. She reviews most of them out of love and the joy of it.
