When Barnes and Noble announced it's price drop for its 3G-enabled Nook to $199 and its WI-Fi version at $149, Amazon retaliated with its own price drop. Now, the 3G Kindle ebook reader is priced at $189.
I personally like the Nook. If not for it's restricted access overseas (hence, not applicable in my country) I would have already bought one. Have you seen the accessories of the Nook? Goodness, they are so cute!
Kindle on the other hand is also a good e-reader, if not pioneered but was one of the first e-readers. Not to mention it has already tapped international market and Amazon has a wide range of ebooks available for purchase.
I am still hoping for Barnes and Noble to finally open their Nook access internationally. But for now, I am going to watch as they slowly wage on their price war as I enjoy reading printed books. Because for all I know, nothing beats the real thing.
E-readers price war?
