Even until the end. HP will be a part of me.
I survived watching Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows (Part 1) without too much tears shed, but hell I still cried. I'm such a crybaby I'm teary eyed already at the first 5 minutes of the film. I guess the book have wounded me enough that it didn't hurt that bad. I hope you, guys are on your way or have watched the movie. Can't wait to hear your thoughts about it so I won't put any spoilery or comments on the movie yet.
The book was an emotional journey and watching it on-screen may amplify the memory. I welcome the break between the two-parts. Although there will be a long wait, it will also serve (perhaps) as a recovering stage for us. I think after I read the last book, it took me a while to get over it. Yeah, geek and weird as it may sound I was afflicted with the HP withdrawal-syndrome. I think some of you may have experienced it too. I mean, it was our childhood. For seven years, it became a part of our life. Waiting for the book, reading it, sharing thoughts about it, etc. I'm talking like this when it's just the first part! What more on the second and last installment! Bring on the truckload of tissue!
So I'll stop my babbling here and cheer you on! It's a weekend and wishing you all a good weekend! Cheers!

Len spends most of her time ruminating on her writings that never made it to paper; keeps sane by reading books and listening to music. She reviews most of them out of love and the joy of it.

I'm seeing the movie tomorrow -- can't wait!!! (Taking my tissues....)
I found your blog on the hops and look forward to following along and hope you may wish to do the same! I just posted my first book review and hope to do many more! I am a mum to three little ones and we are in the process of adopting twins from Ethiopia so we'll see how much time I have to review :)
Blessings,

I've seen the movie twice now and completely understand what you are talking about. Everytime I reread the 7th book (I've now read it 5 times) it always takes me a while to get over it. I think JK needs to go and write a few books about what happens after Voldie dies and 19 years later.
My favorite parts of the movie were the 7 potters and when he finds the sword. *swoon* haha
Completely agree with what you said about how it took awhile to recover after the last book. I regret the day when the movies are over too and I won't have much else Potter related to look forward to. How depressing.
But I loved the movie so much! It was truly a fan's movie, very faithful to the books.
@sharigreen: I hope the movie went well with you. :D
@jamie: hi! thanks for dropping by. Will drop by your blog too and look around. congrats with your first review and it's nice of you to adopt a child. :)
@mustlovebooks: the 7 potter scene was wicked! how about a book about the marauders? that would be awesome too. :D
@aylee: ack. the mere of thought of the last movie is kind of depressing. it's like finishing the book all over again. The movie was awesome though. it rocked!
