Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hop

It's time for Follow Friday and Book Hop again! :) Always nice to participate in the hops to get to discover new blogs, and know more about fellow book bloggers.

This week on Parajunkee's Follow Friday feature is Rebecca from Confessions of a Page Turner, and the feature question is:

"Inspired by the inane twitter trend of #100factsaboutme, give us five BOOK RELATED silly facts about you."

  1. I have a tendency to buy different forms of my favorite book titles.  Hardbound, paperback, UK edition, ebook, and even audiobook!  If I can get my hands on an ARC then I'll also go for it.  Haha!
  2. I sometimes hide books that I want to buy but can't buy yet in some hidden parts of the bookshelves at the bookstore.  Ha! Evil I know but I can't help it!  It's only sometimes... *evil grin*
  3. I have a list of future children's names after my favorite characters.  They will eventually read the books anyway.
  4. I rarely read other genre of books other than YA Paranormal/Dystopian.  I'm gradually trying out YA Contemporary.
  5. I take it as a great achievement if I go in a bookstore and come out empty handed.  Haha!

Then this week on the Book Blogger Hop from Crazy-for-Books:

Mina from Mina Burrows:

"If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?"

Oh my goodness.  Can I list three? *wink*

  1. The Lord of the Rings - I knew in my heart I am born a hobbit just without the big hairy feet.  And who wouldn't want to live in the world that JRR Tolkien created?  Amazing.
  2. Harry Potter series - Harry potter generations, are you with me?  If I would die and reincarnate in one world, please let it be in the Wizarding world.
  3. The Mortal Instruments - If the cosmos won't let me have wizarding blood, then let me kick some demon-butt as a shadowhunter.

I'm loving this week's questions!

Apologies in advance for my answer this week as it will not immediately resonate with the book blogger population which happens to be 99.5% female.

My choice is a book series geared towards guys which won’t enthrall the vast majority of my fellow book bloggers (who are almost entirely female) with the extensive discussion of powerful weapons and sexy milspec gear, beautiful women, eye-popping action sequences (with occasionally obscene violence), and the like.

But there IS something in my answer that just about everyone of the female persuasion can benefit from my decidedly “books for guys” post. Hop on over to http://www.howardsherman.net to find out what it is.

Happy Hop Friday!

Neat choices...have heard of them, but have never read them.

Hope everyone has a fun hope.

My answer has three choices - stop by if you like.

Hopping through. I used to hide library books all the time until I was ready to get them (when I worked there).
